WE DID IT! PHASE 1, SWALLOW PARK IS OPEN!

We are over the moon to announce that Swallow Park is open! This is phase 1, we still have equipment to add, however, we are pleased to say the Children of Mitchel Troy have somewhere safe to play, which was all their creation!
WE ARE DAYS AWAY FROM OPENING!

After a lot of hard work from the team at Sunshine Playground and amazing community spirit, we are close to opening!
Weather has not been our friend and recent lockdowns have resulted in delays with equipment and signage, however, as long as the Inspector gives us a certicate of approval this week then Swallow Park will be open for the Children to play in.
We decided it was more appropriate to focus on the Children's needs and open to the public and we will schedule the remaining work, on the costmetic extras, over the next few weeks, to give the park the finishing touches.
NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND
16th July 2020
On the 16th July we received an email to say we had been successful and the National Lottery Community Fund Wales are going to fund our project! We received £96,850 to turn our dreams into reality!

Mums and children who ran a three -year campaign to bring a pirate boat play park to their village were overjoyed when the National Lottery Community Fund said "Aye, Aye" to funding the £96,850 cost.
FIRST SITE MEETING TO DISCUSS START DATE!

Neil from Kompan UK and the Trustees of Swallow Park met to decide on a start date! Â
We begin on the 10th September 2020 with an estimated opening of Saturday 24th October 2020!
